EC Fans, what a hot summer it has been so far and our shows have never been cooler. Last Thursday we had a great time with all of you at Down Under in Frisco which included tons of birthday celebrations. Friday we took the BIG SHOW to Sambuca 360 and set the all time record for bar sales and crowd. Way to make a statement guys! This night could have kept going and going.
This week we only have one public show for you all to catch us, we will be at Sullivan's Ringside in North Dallas on Thursday night so bring all your friends and co-workers out to make it count. EC Brings in July With a Bang!

EC Fans, what a week of shows! We started the week off playing on Fox 4 Good Day and it was a blast! We then had a couple of club shows at Sambuca 360 and a first time appearance at Sherlocks in Addison which was INSANE! You couldn't fit one more person into that room! Thanks for making us feel welcome our first time there. Our 4th of July shows had unbelievable turn outs. Kaboom Town on Sunday had over 500,000 watching fireworks and we played for over 50,000! It was a night to remember! We then played for the 5th consecutive year at the City of Hurst's Stars and Stripes Festival which is always a treat! We hope you all had a happy holiday and thank you for your support this past weekend!
This week we have a couple of public shows. Thursday we will be throwing down at Down Under Pub in Frisco and Friday we take the party to Sambuca 360 in The Shops of Legacy! EC Fans, what a weekend of shows we just had and we are now prepping for our country's birthday celebration weekend. Let''s recap last week. Thursday we performed at Sullivan's Ringside and celebrated our guitar player Adam's birthday. Thanks to all our friends that came out to enjoy this fun evening. Friday we had a sellout show at the Glass Cactus in Grapevine. What an awesome record crowd. Friday nights will not be the same there anymore. See inset picture.

This week we have some special shows. Wednesday we will be performing on FOX 4 Good Day Dallas morning show promoting our 4th of July shows.You can catch us beginning at 8:30am. Thursday we will be at Sambuca 360 and Friday we make our debut at Sherlock's in Addison. This show will be standing room only so get there early. Sunday July 3rd we will be headlining the inaugural Addison Kaboom Town After Party on the Dos Equis Main Stage immediately after the fireworks show. This is open to the public and great family fun. Monday July 4th we will headline at the City of Hurst Stars and Stripes Festival. Fun for the whole family. Come celebrate Independence Day weekend with us EC style. EC Fans, Summer is officially here and we have so many cool shows planned for you. Let's take a look at last week first. Tuesday we were at Memphis in Addison for a surprise performance. What an awesome dance crowd. You guys tore it up! Thursday we took the show to Down Under in Frisco where we had the place jumping from song one. What a night. Friday we went right down the road to Sambuca 360 and set an all time attendance record. Now that's what we like to see from you.

This week we return to one of our favorite spots, Sullivan's Ringside. Always a ton of fun there. Friday we hit the Glass Cactus in Grapevine. This is a special place for us as we opened up this incredible live venue 5 years ago. Make sure to make your reservations early as this show will sell out. Make your 4th of July weekend plans now. EC Fans, we want to thank all our incredible fans that came out to the Dallas Arboretum's Cool Thursday Concert Series this past week. The event was once again officially SOLD OUT and we could not have asked for better weather. A special thanks to Courtney Arbour and all the wonderful people from the Susan Komen Foundation that came out to present us with a special award for all our work with their great organization. (See attached picture). Friday we were back in Frisco for what turned out to be the largest crowd ever in this cool venue. If you were there, you know what we are talking about.

This week we start off with a special Tuesday night show at Memphis in Addison. This is where we cut our teeth back in 1983 and we love coming back when possible. Thursday we are back at Down Under in Frisco. Make sure to make your reservations as this will be standing room only. Friday night we take the BIG SHOW to Sambuca 360 in North Dallas. Hello EC Fans! Another great weekend of shows in the books and we had soooo much fun with you all. Thursday we performed another cool show at Sullivan's Ringside. While the Mavs took care of business in Miami, we took care of business on the dance floor. Friday we took the BIG SHOW to BIG AL's McKinney Avenue Tavern. This joint was hoppin' and Big Al took great care of us. What a night. Thanks to all you great fans that came down to hang with us. Saturday we performed at a celebrity wedding which was a blast!

This week we perform at the Dallas Arboretum for the Cool Thursday Music Series. Make sure to purchase your tickets now as this event will sell out. Friday we take the show to Down Under in Frisco. It's been a while since we last were there so make sure to arrive early for a good spot!

Memorial Day Weekend Wrapup

Welcome back EC Fans. We hope you all had an incredible Memorial Day weekend as did we. Our holiday weekend started off with a cool Thursday blowout at Sullivan's Ringside. We celebrated a lot of birthdays in true EC style. Friday we took the BIG SHOW to Pier 121 on Lake Lewisville. What an incredible turnout as it is every year and the dock was rockin' baby! A special thanks to Dee Lincoln and all her awesome staff at Dinghy who made sure we were well taken care of. In rare fashion EC decided to take off the rest of the weekend and spend it with family and friends to celebrate the holiday and honor our military. What a great weekend!

This week we have two cool shows for you to come hang with us. Thursday we will be back at Sullivan's Ringside where the elite meet to dance to the beat. Friday we will be performing a special show for a very good friend of ours; Big Al from KISS-FM. He has one of the hottest new clubs in Uptown, The Mat (McKinney Avenue Tavern). This place is going to be slammed so make sure to arrive extra early. Thanks again for making our shows so much fun and we appreciate every single one of you. See you at a show near you.

EC Fans, another awesome weekend of shows and so glad you were a huge part of it. Thursday we performed at Sambuca 360 where the dance floor saw so much action we spilled over into the seating areas. What a crowd. Friday we performed at the 'til Midnight Music and Movie Series at the Nasher in the downtown Dallas Arts District. We did not let a little rain stop us from providing you what you came to hear. Thanks for sticking it out with us. Saturday night was a real treat. The Deerfield HOA Rock the Block Party. Thanks to all the folks from the Deerfield area along with die hard EC fans that came out to enjoy a beautiful night of music and friends. We truly had a blast and enjoyed hanging out with each and every one of you. This week we celebrate Memorial Day Weekend and the start of summer. We start off with a bring in the weekend party at Sullivan's Ringside. Arrive early to get a good spot. Then Friday the BIG PARTY everyone has been waiting for. We Rock the Dock at Pier 121 just outside of Dinghy's. This annual event is one HUGE crazy party and every year it gets bigger and better. EC Fans, we want to thank all our awesome fans that came out to see us at Sullivan's Ringside last Thursday. We had a blast performing a public show for the first time in 2 weeks. Friday we were in McKinney at the Rock the Inn event raising awareness and funds for The Samaritan Inn. Thanks to all that came out and made this special event a success. Saturday we took the BIG SHOW on the road again, this time to Fredericksburg, TX in the beautiful Hill Country. Take a look at the picture attached, what a fun bunch.This week you have three chances to catch EC, Thursday we are finally back at Sambuca 360 in North Dallas. This joint will be slamming as EC packs it out every time. Make sure to call ahead for reservations or get there early. We made it back all in one piece from our Texas Two Step Tour. We hit San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, back to Houston for three dates and back to Dallas all in 8 days. Whew!!! Check out one of the fun pics from a show! Now that we are back, we have two shows for you to catch us. Thursday night we will be back at Sullivan's Ringside throwing down some killer dance beats and grooves. Friday we are performing at the "Rock the Inn"fundraiser event at the Cotton Mill in McKinney. This is to raise awareness and funds benefiting the Samaritan Inn which helps the homeless in our communities. Friday night we have a private show but our sister band Downtown Fever will be kicking off the Main Street Festival in Grapevine performing the prime time slot at 7:30pm on the Main Gaylord Texan Stage. Well May is upon us and we have already started off on the road. Before we left, we performed a great full show at Sullivan's Ringside. Plenty of birthdays on hand and the dance floor was never empty. We then hit the road and performed at a fun wedding in Houston. Check out the picture attached. What a fun bunch. The next 11 days are full of private events, taking us to Houston, San Antonio and back to Houston. We will be back in Dallas May 12 at Sullivan's Ringside so make your plans now to be there. Our sister bands Limelight and Downtown Fever will be performing public shows while we are gone. Thursday May 5 Limelight is at Cool River in Las Colinas. Downtown Fever will be at Sambuca 360 Thursday night and at Down Under in Frisco on Friday night. Make sure to check these great bands out while we are out of town. What a week of surprises. Last Tuesday we kicked off the 2011 Twilight Tuesday Concert Series at the Dallas Arboretum. What a weekend. We had a great show at Down Under last Thursday and we were so happy to see so many great friends there. The weekend brought some really cool parties and we had so much fun performing for such great crowds. This week we have some exciting shows coming your way. Thursday we will be at Sullivan's Ringside belting out some killer dance beats for you. Friday we hit the road and head to Kansas City which always makes for a fun time, Saturday we are performing at the City of Allen Concerts by the Creek.This is the inaugural kickoff for this concert series and will be an incredible night of music and family fun. Well another great road trip for us in the books. Last Thursday we performed a special encore show at Sullivans Ringside. As expected, our fans showed up in full force and we even had quite a bit of birthday celebrations going on. We have plenty of pics to show you on our Facebook page. EC Fans, what a great St. Patrick's Day weekend! We hope you all had as rowdy a time as we did. We started off the weekend with a BIG party at Down Under and BIG is what it was. A packed house and tent outside and lots of great drinking, dancing and all around fun. Friday we took the party to Cape Buffalo and threw down round two. Happy St. Patrick’s Week EC Fans. Let’s start with this past week. Last Thursday we performed a show at Sambuca 360 which just ripped the roof off the joint. Friday we took the big show to Down Under and had another incredible night. You could not move in this place it was so packed. Thanks to all of you for supporting LIVE music. Awesome!This week we have some special shows for you.
Pre-St. Patty’s Celebration at Club Memphis in Addison on Tuesday March 15. Come get your drink and groove on with us. Also help celebrate our stage tech Tony Floyd’s birthday. We love us some Tony!
Thursday March 17, The Big One. St. Patrick’s Day Blowout at Down Under in Frisco. This is going to be the one that gets talked about all year. They have setup a tented area to handle the overflow crowd onto the patio. They are bringing in specially brewed green beer and special shots and I heard even a leprechaun or two. Make sure to get there early!
Friday we take the BIG SHOW to Cape Buffalo. Let’s see if we can break our existing crowd record there. Come on guys; let’s leave a big mark on this one!

We have some special giveaways for you at all our shows this week. We have teamed up with the Dallas Vigilantes Arena Football team and will be holding special contests throughout the night at our shows giving away ticket packages for their upcoming game March 19 at the American Airlines Center. We went out to Las Vegas for the Event Solutions Spotlight Awards where we were nominated for Ensemble Entertainers of the Year and though we came up short, it is a huge honor to be a finalist for this prestigious international award representing Dallas/Fort Worth and all of our incredible fans. Hey there EC fans, last week was yet another incredible turnout of great fans at our public shows. Sambuca 360 as always was a blast and the crowds just keep getting bigger and bigger when we perform there. Friday night at Down Under was insane as always and with the weather finally turning in our favor, it could not have been a better night. Saturday we hit the road and headed to Tallequah, Ok where we had the chance to perform for our great friends there. This is always a special show for us and we loved every minute of it.
This week we kick off things with a show Tuesday night at Memphis in Addison. What a way to start off the week! Thursday night we bring the big show back to Sullivans Ringside. Make sure to call ahead for table reservations as this place is always a full house. The weekend is full of private events but for you brides to be, we will be performing a special show all day at the Unveiled Wedding Show at the Hilton Anatole Dallas. Well now that Super Bowl XLV is in the books, we want to give you a recap of what an amazing week that we had. We are so grateful to be able to do what we do and weeks like this prove that 10 times over.
We started the week off with the official NFL Super Bowl XLV Media Party hosted by the North Texas Super Bowl Host Committee. We performed alongside the Old 97's. Wednesday was a private Super Bowl party but Thursday we performed at the Gift For Life Foundation event where Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett hosted. We performed with Grammy winner Bruce Hornsby. Tons of athletes and celebrities. We also performed at the NFL Pulse Awards hosted by Jay Mohr and James Brown. This was especially fun for us as we got to see a lot of old friends from the NFL. Fridays event was cancelled due to the bad weather we received. Saturday we performed on the Super Saturday Edition of Good Day on FOX 4 TV. Later that evening we were at the Best Party in Texas hosted by Carmen Electra and Mike Ditka. This party was really a great event as we helped raise monies for the Feliciano Foundation. Tons of celebrities stopped by to lend a hand. In all, we had a blast and have lots of pics and videos to show you. Check out our weekly newsletter for info.

Super Bowl Week is Here!!!!

Hello from Super Bowl Central here in Big D! The world is here all week and we will be your official hosts throughout the entire run.
A quick recap of last week. We had three great public shows to get you pumped up for the big week. Memphis in Addison was poppin'as always Tuesday night, Thursday at Down Under was especially rocking and Friday at Glass Cactus rounded out the trifecta with a packed house. Saturday we hit the road and performed a big private event honoring Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. What a thrill that was. We will have some great video footage from that event on our Facebook page. Check it out.
This week, the Big Kahuna, Super Bowl Week is upon us and we are so excited about all our upcoming shows. Tuesday we perform along with the Old 97's at the House of Blues for a private NFL Super Bowl Kickoff Event sponsored by the Super Bowl Host Committee. Wednesday we perform a celebrity studded event at a secret location with some of our favorite musical performers. Thursday we will be at two SB events, The NFL Pulse Awards hosted by Jay Mohr and James Brown. Check out their website for details on the event and tickets. Later that evening we will be at the Superstars Event benefiting the Ron Springs/Everson Walls Gift for Life Foundation. We will be performing along with Grammy Award winner Bruce Hornsby. Well folks, the table has been set. It is the Cheese Heads vs the Steel Curtain in Super Bowl XLV. While we all wish the Boys would have been in it, the party continues. We look forward to so many great events and parties and we want to keep you up to date on all of them! Last week we performed in Houston at the House of Blues and we always have a huge blast performing there. Great road trip.
This week we have our pre-Super Bowl week party at Memphis on Tuesday, Down Under in Frisco on Thursday and Glass Cactus in Grapevine on Friday. Make sure to come check us out. Great news EC fans, we have some really cool shows coming up that want to tell you about. First things first, we want to thank all of you that came out last week to our public shows at Memphis, Down Under and Sambuca 360. All three shows were just out of this world fun and the size of the crowds lets us know that 2011 is going to be even bigger than 2010. Our first week in 2011 came and went but not without a whole lot of excitement. First off was our 2011 kickoff party at Sullivans Ringside. Great friends, fans and lots of great dancing. We picked up right where we left off. Friday we took the BIG show to the BIG house. Cowboys Stadium, where we performed the pre game Samsung Football Fest at the 75Th Annual AT&T Cotton Bowl. We were right there in the throngs of LSU and Texas A&M fans. Nothing like the spirit of music to bring Tigers and Aggies together right before a big gridiron battle. Tens of thousands of people can't be wrong and we proved it by making tons of new fans out there. Check out our pictures from the event on our Facebook page.
This week we have three chances for you to see us LIVE. Tuesday we start off the week with our first show of the year at Memphis in Addison. This one is always a treat. Thursday we are at Down Under in Frisco and Friday we are kicking off the weekend at Sambuca 360 in North Dallas. Three great shows at three great venues. Also, we are performing some great celebrity shows for Super Bowl XLV all over the metroplex beginning with the hottest party Super Bowl Weekend, The Best Party in Texas sponsored by the Feliciano Foundation and hosted by Carmen Electra. It's a brand new year and man are we stoked about 2011. First off, we want to thank every single one of you that came out to celebrate New Years Eve with us at the Hotel Intercontinental. That was by far the biggest celebration yet. We had close to 2000 people help us close out 2010 and we could not have asked for a better way to do just that. Make sure to let all your friends that did not attend on what they missed out on. Now that 2011 is upon us, we have so many great shows to look forward to and some exciting new projects in the works. Make sure to keep visiting our website for details on all these great events. This week we open up the year with our first public show at Sullivan's Ringside Thursday night. This is always a must attend show and the crowds are always ready to dance. Friday afternoon we perform on the Samsung stage at Cowboys Stadium prior to the game for the Samsung Focus Football Fest.Plazas open at 3pm. Well it has been a couple of weeks since our last post. We here hope you all had a very Merry Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. We all did, even Jim Foster, Mr. Scrooge himself broke down and got into the spirit of the season.

We have one last one for the year on December 23 at Down Under so we are all going to have to make it count. Well now that Thanksgiving has come and gone and we have all had our fill of turkey and pumpkin pie, it is time to work off some of that added weight we all put on over the holidays. That means it is time to do some serious dancing and grooving! Let's kick it off this week with an early weekday show this Thursday at Sullivan's Ringside. The last show there was such a blast, the place was just packed and dance floor was never empty so bring on your funkiest dance moves, we have got you covered!
We have private events the rest of the weekend but you can catch our sister band Downtown Fever at Cape Buffalo Saturday night. They will be performing all of your favorite dance tunes and you never know, we just might stop by and sneak in a couple of tunes for you.

Hello everyone, welcome back to the show that never ends. Thanks for an incredible weekend of music and dancing. Last Thursday we were at Sullivans Ringside and was this party on fire. Great crowds and lots of friends. Friday night we performed to another huge crowd at Cape Buffalo. Over 1200 people at this new redesigned venue. What a party! Saturday we took the big show to Fort Worth for the annual Margarita Ball. This event helps raise money for the Childrens Charities of Fort Worth. This year yielded the biggest turnout ever and record toys donated for needy kids. Thanks to Bruce and Aaaron with the Fort Worth Margarita Society for having us back. We donated two New Years Eve Packages for their auction and they went for over $1500. Great stuff. Thanks to Scott Murray as well for hosting this great event.
This week we have no public dates but make sure to catch us for our big, big special Pre-Thanksgiving Show at Sambuca 360 on Thursday, November 25. This one will be off the hook! Feels Like The First Time !

Once again, we had an incredible week of events, mostly private but Sunday we performed at the Texas Motor Speedway for the No Limits Garage Party held in Pit Row. It was an early show but we had a chance to share the stage with a couple of guys from Foreigner who performed a couple of acoustic numbers. Great guys! We have some video footage from the event that will be posted on our Facebook page. This week we have three great events for all our fans. Thursday we are back at Sullivans Ringside. It has been a while so expect a capacity crowd.Friday we will be at Cape Buffalo. Our last show there was a Halloween Show to a crowd of over 1500 people. This one should be a blast too. Saturday we take the big show to Fort Worth Convention Center for the annual Margarita Ball. This is always a blast and benefits the Children's Charities of Fort Worth and hosted by Scott Murray. Check out their website for more info on this great event. New Years Eve is only a month and a half away and tickets are just getting scooped up like crazy. Emerald City's Halloween Havoc!

WOW! What a weekend of great Halloween fun! We started off Thursday night with a great packed show at at Sambuca 360. Friday we took the big show to Cape Buffalo and was it an event! This was the biggest crowd ever seen at this newly remodeled venue. Well over 1500 people in attendance. At one point the line of cars ran from the venue to the tollway. Unbelievable. The Naughty Halloween Costume Contest was one of a kind with some incredible original ideas. The dancing and partying could have gone on all night. Saturday we performed at the House of Blues for a private Halloween show. The band and guests all had great costumes and we had a blast with everyone. EC Fans, are you ready for a big Halloween weekend? Well we have just the party weekend for you. Let's start with this past week, EC had another event filled weekend and it started Friday night at Fat Daddys where we all celebrated a Texas Rangers win and their very first World Series appearance. Congrats to all our friends in the Rangers organization. Saturday we performed for the Living for Zachary Foundation Run at the Shops at Legacy. The weather held up and we had a great turnout for this great cause. Raising money for the prevention of cardiac arrest in children. Great organization, check out their site for more info.
And now for this week, Thursday we kick off an early weekend party at Sambuca 360 in Plano. This place will be slammed so get there early. Friday, we have the Big Boo Blowout at Cape Buffalo. We want all our fans to wear their craziest costumes. We have some special prizes for some lucky Trick or Treaters.

What A Weekend!

A Big Hello Emerald City Fans, we made it through the weekend. WOW!!! That was an event filled week for us. Let's start at the beginning. Sunday we performed at the Toyota U.S. Open Triathlon sponsored by Lifetime Fitness. An incredible turnout by athletes and supporters. We even performed to a Zumba class which was a first for us. Monday we hit the road and headed to Houston where we performed at the Hilton of Americas for a huge convention. We then headed back to the Midwest and Kansas City. We performed a live outdoor concert in the Power & Light District in their awesome live music setting called KC LIVE! With over 4000 people in attendance, this was one of the biggest block parties ever thrown. We flew back to Big D and performed at Sullivan's Ringside with our sister band Downtown Fever. That was so much fun getting to perform with fellow musicians and mixing it up to lay down some great dance tunes for you all. Friday night we took the Big Show to Cape Buffalo and their new live music room. With a great awesome crowd, we kicked into high gear heading into the weekend. Thanks to Willie for making us feel at home with his generous hospitality. After a couple of hours of sleep, we headed to Northpark Mall and the main stage at the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. We donate our time each year for this great cause and once again, they met their monetary goal and the attendance was in the tens of thousands. Great job to all the volunteers and staff that put this great event on each year for this great cause. A big thanks to Clarice Tinsley and FOX 4 News for all that they do for us. We then headed to our next afternoon event downtown which was a private affair and after that, another private wedding for some dear friends. Well, that was it, what a week! This week we have only one public show, we will be at Fat Daddy's in Fort Worth. Great new venue for us. We will see you all there!

Hey EC Fans, another great weekend in the books for us. Friday we performed at the Oklahoma State H.O.G. Rally in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Great group of Harley Davidson weekend warriors that came from all over the US for this great weekend of festivities at the Ardmore Convention Center. Thanks for the hospitality Don! Saturday we performed at the Deerfield Community Oktoberfest and had an incredible turnout for this neighborhood event. Great brats and beer as well as tons of dancing in the park. Sunday morning we performed at the Toyota US Open Triathlon Trials sponsored by Lifetime Fitness. What an incredible group of athletes that braved the cool weather to compete in this grueling event. We actually got to perform music to a Zumba class, what fun! This week we hit the road and fly to Houston and Kansas City for big events. We come back for our only public performance on Friday night at Cape Buffalo, come see the newly remodeled venue and new live music room. We look forward to a huge turnout. Saturday morning, make sure to catch us on FOX 4 TV at 9am or better yet, come on out to Northpark Mall as we perform live at the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. This incredible event is always a must so come lend your support for this great cause and help raise breast cancer awareness. EC Fans, this weather sure is awesome. With the changing of the season, Emerald City has some great things coming up. We start with this weekend, Saturday and Sunday are our only public performances and we take to the streets. Streets of Deerfield that is. We perform for the Deerfield Community Oktoberfest in North Dallas. This will be outdoors at the Deerfireld Community Park and there will be food and adult drinks for everyone. Tickets are available now, check out our website for more information.
Sunday we will be performing at the U.S. Toyota Triathlon Trials in Rockwall. We then head out to Houston and Kansas City respectively for some corporate events.
Well if you have not heard by now, we have officially begun selling tickets to our great Rock the '11 New Years Eve Party. As you all know, last year was a complete sellout and there were a lot of disappointed fans that could not get in or buy a room package. Well this year, we are doing it bigger and better. What's up EC Fans, another week gone by and lots of news to share with you all. We started the week off on Thursday performing under the stars at Austin Ranch, a residential community in North Dallas. We had an incredible turnout and made tons of new fans. Check out our photo album on Facebook to see all the fun. Friday we took the show on the road and headed west to El Paso, Texas. We performed at a fundraiser event which had a Latin Carnival theme. Check out the video below for some great scenes from the party. We flew back Saturday and after a cancelled flight and some delays, we made it back home. We performed a private wedding that evening and called it a week. We would like to say Happy Birthday to EC alumni and Limelight band leader, Mark Russell. Happy Birthday big guy!

Rally 'Round Emerald City!

Hello again from the EC family. Last week we had just one public show, but it was a fun one. We were at the Rally 'Round Greenville festival in the heart of downtown Greenville, Texas. Awesome fans and food. Thanks to Milton Babb and all the folks from the city whose hospitality made for a great evening of music and celebration.
This week we have just one public show, it will be at Austin Ranch in The Colony on Thursday September 23 from 7:00-9:00pm. Come on out and enjoy what will be one huge party. Working for a Living.....

Hey EC Fans,
We had another great road trip this past weekend and we also celebrated our trumpet player Jim's birthday.It all started Friday as we flew to Kansas City to perform at a fundraiser at the Kansas City Motor Speedway. We performed with our good friends Huey Lewis & The News. Even thought the weather was being uncooperative, we had a great time seeing old friends and toughing out the storm. We headed back to the hotel after the gig where we proceeded to throw Jim a make shift birthday party. Jimmy Jack was in rare form and we filmed a nice video to show you all. Check out this weeks video newsletter to see some of the fun.
Then it was off to Oklahoma City where we performed at one of our favorite spots, Nichols Hills. What an audience, these folks had a really good time as did we. Afterwards, we went back to the hotel and hung out with some of our drummer Kenny's old friends, The Burtons, who happened to be performing in the lobby bar. Some of the horn players played with the band as did Kenny. All of a sudden, half our audience from the earlier show came to the bar and then it was on. We closed the place down with some great music and drinks. After a rough start, we flew back to Big D on Sunday morning and closed out another Big EC Weekend. This week we have one public show, in Greenville, TX. It is the Rally 'round Greenville Street Festival and it is free and open to all. Come out to this great event and dance to some great tunes, right in the heart of downtown Greenville. Hope to see you all there. Have a great week!

Labor Day Fun in the Sun!

We hope everyone had a fantastic Labor Day weekend. We sure did. As we said goodbye to Summer, we welcome the beginning of Fall with some great shows. Last week started with a smoking dance fest at Sullivans Ringside. This place always brings out the best in our fans dance moves. We then took the road show to Fat Daddy's in Fort Worth. Now this was our first time performing at this new venue and I have to say, the staff and management were just awesome to us. We want to thank all our fans that made the journey from North Dallas. We always love to see all you guys. Fort Worth came out for a great time and that is exactly what we gave them. We look forward to coming back soon.
This week we have a public show in the City of Bedford
(visit www.emeraldcityband.com for details). We then take the Emerald City Big Show on the road to Kansas City where we perform at the Kansas City Motor Speedway with Huey Lewis & The News. Always a great time with old friends. Then we jet off to Oklahoma City for a private show. Emerald City Strikes Again!

Hey EC Fans, we had another great round of public shows this past week beginning with Thursday at Down Under in Frisco. The dance floor was packed from the first downbeat and never let up. When we plan a party, you show up in full force. We then took the show to Cape Buffalo where we set another attendance record for this venue. They are remodeling and building a bigger live music room and stage so we got to say goodbye to the old one in true EC style. When the new room opens up, we will plan a huge throwdown and make sure you are all invited.
This weeks schedule has us performing two public shows, Sullivans Ringside Thursday September 2 and we hit a new hotspot in Fort Worth on Friday September 3, Fat Daddy's. You have two chances to catch us live so make your plans now. We want to see you front and center.

The Party Continues.....

Well it was another event filled weekend for us. We started the party at Sambuca 360 on Thursday and what a start it was. A completely packed house and plenty of birthday ladies on hand. We then performed two private events, one where we captured our infamous Troblemaker horn section serenading a nice young lady on the dance floor. Her significant other was not expecting that. Check out the video below to get an insider glimpse of the fun.

This week we bring the EC party train to Memphis in Addison on Tuesday August 24. These once a month Tuesday Summer Nights are just getting crazier as the heat swells. August 26 we are at Down Under for another Awesome Aussie Thursday throwdown. Make sure to get there early as seating is limited. August 27, we officially kick off the weekend with our Funky Friday Fanfest at Cape Buffalo. Make sure to give Deno a shout out, you never know, he just may buy you an adult libation.

Hello again EC Fans. We are now deep into summer and the heat has just been brutal here in Texas. This past week we performed at Down Under to another great crowd that was looking to cool off with some cold drinks and great dance beats. Emerald City also has another road trip in the books, this time to the land of Dorothy and Toto, Kansas City. We performed at a corporate fundraiser out in Edgerton, Kansas at a beautiful horse farm there. We have a video to share with you below. We got caught in a pretty good storm at the tail end of the show but the crowd loved every minute of our infectious beats and sounds. We look forward to returning next month for another great event.
This week we have just one public show at Sambuca 360 on Thursday and the last performance was a complete sellout. Our suggestion to you is to arrive early if you want to get a seat. Otherwise, you are SRO.....Come bring in the weekend with us a this beautiful hotspot in North Dallas. Emerald City Band, Don't threaten us with a good time baby! Chow!

Emerald City Road Trip-St. Louis

Hello EC Fans, we made it back from another road trip. This time we visited the grand midwest city of St. Louis, MO. We performed for a beautiful wedding event held at the famous Grand Union Station Hall. This facility used to be the old rail station that everyone came through in the early 1900's when crossing the country. The artistic work and brass work in this place is just exquisite. The warm hospitality that we received was just great and the party was just over the top. We could not have asked for a better audience as the dancing just went on all night long. We celebrated Billy's birthday afterwards at the famous Maggie O' Briens down the street where we proceeded to let the shots flow....some more than others. Ha!

Now that we are back, we prepare for our only public show this Thursday at Down Under in Frisco, then it is off to Fort Worth for a private event and then again back on the road, this time to Kansas City for a huge private event there. We will keep you posted on more EC happenings, until then, here is a short video from our last performance on Friday at Cape Buffalo as well as some pictures from St. Louis. Well, another great weekend in Emerald City world. Two great public shows and the crowds were just incredible. You know, it never gets old hearing that. Our fans are simply the best. You never let us down. Thursday at Down Under in Frisco was so much fun. It was as if you guys did not want the party to end. Shonna and Donovan and Lyn simply just tore it up and the horns and rhythm section could not have been more on. What a killer recipe for creating the perfect dance storm.

Thanks to Sherry and Matthew Wilder for supplying the much needed cold adult beverages as the temperature rose quickly with all that fun on the dance floor.

Friday night was a special show for our friends that own Cape Buffalo. Their sister venue Wizards in Richardson was the site for the Lady GaGa after party and man was this place just rocking! We have not performed there in years and it was as if we never left. The staff was so hospitable and the owners made sure that the Troublemaker horn section were put in just the right mood to make sure that everyone had a great time.

This week we have two public shows so get your rest and bring it out; we are expecting you!

Hey there EC Fans, we had two great shows this past week. Thursday at Sambuca 360 was incredible. This show had the largest attendance this venue has seen yet and we left them wanting more. We then took the show down the tollway to Cape Buffalo on Friday night. Now if you were not there, you missed what can only be described as the mother of all Cape Buffalo shows. Parking was insane as cars were being parked blocks away just to get to this joint. The wait to get in was not too bad but once inside, this was the party to be at.

As one EC fan says:

"I saw you guys at Cape Friday night. Biggest crowd I have seen there in years!! Loved it!! See you again soon. Keep doing your thing!!"

Nominations for the 2nd Annual Readers’ Choice Awards were gathered in the Spring and nominees were published in the Summer 2010 issue of ADDISON – The Magazine of the North Dallas Corridor. Readers then cast their votes online at www.addisonmagazine.com for their favorite in each of the more than 80 categories.

I wanted to extend a big THANK YOU to everyone involved in the McCormick-McMartin wedding this past weekend. It was a huge success. Both families were so thrilled how smoothly the wedding and reception went and how beautiful everything looked!! None of it could have happened without each of you. New Addition to The Emerald City Band!

We are so excited about the new addition to the Emerald City Band family. Introducing Shonna Bonds......

Shonna hit the Dallas music scene four years ago as the lead singer for the popular band Time Machine.

From the moment she began to sing at the age of six in church as well as singing contests throughout the Midwest, winning most of them, she immediately fell in love with country music. It was not until she moved to Dallas in 2005 that she began to sing pop/rock music.

Since then, she has performed almost every night in clubs, casinos, special events and weddings in Texas and surrounding states. This allowed her to spread her wings vocally in many music genres.

She credits Celine Dion and Michael Jackson as her greatest musical influences.

Shonna will now bring her incredible energy and infectious stage presence to the Emerald City Band which will only elevate an already out of this world show!

Last Month we played a fund raiser for Chase's Place which is a private day school serving students with developmental disabilities including mental retardation, PDD/Autism, traumatic brain injuries and neurological disorders.
